'The Girl Across the Street' was inspired by the Continental look worn by the girls as fashion changed from the glam 70s to a more European style witnessed by those who travelled abroad in the early 80s. French and Italian girls would be seen shooting around town on their own Scooters or riding pillion on their boyfriends Lambretta or Vespa.
The Mod/Northern Soul influences are still cross referenced with the 125 Lambretta and one of the top 20 rarest Northern Soul tunes 'The Girl Across the Street' by Moses Smith acting as the backdrop.
Jayne herself has now changed her footwear for a pair of trainers.
A late June / early July release is expected.
